What it is
Lymphatic drainage massage uses very light, rhythmic strokes that follow the natural pathways of the lymphatic system. The pressure is far lighter than most people expect from a massage: the goal is to move lymph fluid, not to work muscle.
When it helps
- Swelling after surgery (orthopedic, cosmetic, oncological)
- Post-injury swelling that’s slow to resolve
- Lymphedema management as part of a broader treatment plan
- Heaviness in the legs from prolonged standing or travel
What to expect
The pressure feels surprisingly light, almost skimming the skin. Sessions are calm and slow. You may need to urinate more often in the hours after, which is the body clearing the fluid that was moved during the session.
Important note
If you have active infection, untreated cancer, blood clots, or certain heart or kidney conditions, lymphatic drainage may not be appropriate. Tell us about your medical history when you book.
